BorderPay Velocity

BorderPay compliance

Business eligibility and restricted activities

Review these requirements before applying. Accurate disclosure protects your application from delays, restrictions or closure after onboarding.

High-risk and prohibited activity distinction

High-risk activities must be disclosed

A high-risk activity is not automatically prohibited, but it requires complete disclosure and may require licensing, enhanced due diligence or written approval before access is granted.

  • Money services, including remittances, ATMs, prepaid or gift-card programs and check cashing
  • Lending, credit or banking services
  • Foreign-exchange, virtual-currency brokerage or over-the-counter trading
  • Holding or controlling client funds, including escrow arrangements
  • Third-party payment processing or payment aggregation

Prohibited activities are not supported

Do not open or use a BorderPay account for a prohibited activity. Applications may be declined and existing access may be restricted or terminated where activity conflicts with law, network rules or BorderPay’s risk requirements.
